5v2 Activation Rondo for Interior Passes
WHAT ARE PLAYERS ARE DOING
This activity is positional activation rondo.
The objective of the game is to get a certain number of passes or successfully pass to the player in the yellow square.
If the defender recovers the ball they can score in either goal.
The activity is set up as a 5v2 rondo.
The team in black keeps possession as long as possible and tries to pass to the interior player.
The team in white tries to recover the ball while preventing an interior pass.
The game starts with an attacking player passing the ball to start the game.
HOW TO HELP PLAYERS
This activity can be focused towards attacking, defending, or transitioning.
This rondo recreates a moment where one team has the ball and has to advance it, with a preference on interior passes.
The attacking team needs to manipulate the defender to create enough space to pass to the interior player.
The defending team must create an overload to increase the chance of recovering the ball.
This directional rondo could be used as an introductory activity in a training session.
